Why I’m Building My Escape Plan (and How You Can Too)

When I first shared my Escape Plan, I talked about the tools and steps I’m using to build a business that runs on autopilot. But before the “how,” there’s always a bigger question: why?

For me, the Escape Plan isn’t just about quitting a job or starting a side hustle. It’s about freedom. It’s about reclaiming my time so I can live more life outside of work, without sacrificing income or stability.

Why I Needed an Escape Plan

I’m a mom of three, working two jobs, with a mortgage that feels like it should come with a cape because it’s basically a superhero. My days are packed, and yet I couldn’t shake the thought: Is this really it?

I knew I needed something different. Something that wasn’t just another job or another “side hustle” that would eat up the scraps of time I had left at the end of the day. I wanted a system that worked quietly in the background.

That’s what the Escape Plan is. A way out of the hamster wheel and into a business that doesn’t depend on me showing up every second of the day.

The Process (Simple, Not Overwhelming)

Here’s how I’ve been building my Escape Plan step by step:

1. Start with Why.
Get clear on what freedom looks like for you. For me, it’s time with my kids, a business that pays the bills, and not being tied to 9–5 forever.

2. Pick Your Core Tools.
I didn’t want 10 platforms to manage. I use:

3. Build Small, But Build Consistently.
I carve out 15–30 minutes a day and longer blocks on Fridays. Each tiny step adds up.

4. Automate Everything Possible.
Every email, every funnel, every graphic—if I can automate it, I do. My goal is less hands-on, more autopilot.

Why This Matters (For You Too)

You don’t need to be a tech genius. You don’t need endless hours. You just need a system that makes business work for you, instead of the other way around. That’s why I share my journey—because if I can build this while working two jobs and raising three kids, you can too.
